Amadeus Paulussen<p>I hope that Bitwig Connect 4/12 will be a big, phat success and that they will introduce something like a Bitwig Connect 32/32 in either 19&quot; or desktop form factor for me to eventually replace my beloved RME Fireface UFX in a couple of years. <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/linuxaudio" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>linuxaudio</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/bitwig" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>bitwig</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/usb" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>usb</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/classcompliant" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>classcompliant</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/rme" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>rme</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/audiointerface" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>audiointerface</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/cv" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>cv</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/midi" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>midi</span></a></p>

I really couldn&#39;t be happier. 🤓</p>
Amadeus Paulussen<p>My <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/rme" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>rme</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/fireface" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>fireface</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/ufx" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>ufx</span></a> only offers 12 of 22 inputs in <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/usb" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>usb</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/classcompliant" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>classcompliant</span></a> mode on <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/linux" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>linux</span></a>. I can only use all 22 inputs if I use the pro audio profile. Unfortunately I get digital artifacts with the latter. <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/linuxaudio" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>linuxaudio</span></a><br />Luckily I do not need all the inputs in parallel. 🫣</p>
Amadeus Paulussen<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://mastodon.social/@x42" class="u-url mention">@<span>x42</span></a></span> Thanks for sharing! Interesting. You know, I personally love what e.g. <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/rme" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>rme</span></a> are doing. They provide all sorts of apps for <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/windows" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>windows</span></a> and <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/macos" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>macos</span></a>, but offer the option to use their interfaces solely via the <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/hardware" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>hardware</span></a> and without any drivers with a <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/usb" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>usb</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/classcompliant" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>classcompliant</span></a> mode too. You miss a bunch of channels that way, but I even extended my <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/interface" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>interface</span></a> with 8 additional <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/microphone" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>microphone</span></a> inputs via <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/adat" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>adat</span></a> and couldn&#39;t be happier with how it performs on <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/linux" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>linux</span></a>. <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/linuxaudio" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>linuxaudio</span></a></p>

Not only in terms of <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/plugins" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>plugins</span></a> available natively (see e.g. <a href="https://linuxdaw.org/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="">linuxdaw.org/</span><span class="invisible"></span></a>) but in particular because of <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/pipewire" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>pipewire</span></a>. If you want to give it another try I&#39;d be there to help (if I can). 🫣️🙂️ PD: I sold my arsenal on UA interface and accelerators and went on to an <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/rme" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>rme</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/fireface" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>fireface</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/usb" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>usb</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/classcompliant" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>classcompliant</span></a> interface with an AD extension unit and never looked back. 🤓️</p>
