Today a friend and I visited Chatsworth House, a gorgeous stately home that was used for the filming of the 2005 Pride and Prejudice movie. There was so much beautiful artwork, and the gardens were stunning.

Today I came to Birmingham Airport (BHX) so decided to draw the view from the official viewing area (over in Car Park 5). Saw quite a lot of planes take off and land. They were super loud, though that might have been because of yesterday's ear wax removal.

Very heavy rain while driving on the motorway today, with a lot of surface water. Even though I was driving slowly, I felt the car aquaplaning at one point. Thankfully not all four wheels though I don't think, otherwise the car would have been like "an uncontrolled sled", to quote Wikipedia.

Telford has some roads that are just designed to fuel road rage. As such, I'll sometimes drive home a longer way to avoid what I call Traffic Widening Awareness Taker lanes (single lanes that split into dual lanes metres before a traffic light and merge back to single metres after, encouraging people to commit the most heinous of British crimes ... queue jumping). The extra five minutes is worth is to avoid driving alongside absolute bell ends.
