Kommenden Donnerstag, 11.9., ist "Bundesweiter Warntag", an dem die Länder ihre Warninfrastruktur testen. Das beinhaltet Sirenen und Display, aber auch
aller Mobiltelefone. Alle Telefone, die angeschaltet sind, auch wenn die Einstellungen auf "stumm" stehen, werden um 11 Uhr Warntöne von sich geben.
Wenn ihr also jemanden kennt, der/die ein Telefon hat, was versteckt oder geheim ist, z.B. in einer toxischen Beziehung, dann warnt die, dass die ihr Telefon vorher ausgeschalten!

Just catched another #cellbroadcast test message. This time without any complications. (Running #phosh 0. 49. 0)

Der diesjährige bundesweite #Warntag findet am 11. #September 2025 statt. Dann werden #Sirenen und #CellBroadcast um 11 Uhr erprobt, aber auch das #Warnsystem #AutomaticSafetyAlert (#ASA) über Digitalradio #DABplus wird zu diesem Zeitpunkt ausgelöst.
Dabei sollte die #Warnung auch über ASA-zertifizierte #Radio|s empfangen werden. Die neue Generation an DAB+ Radios ermöglicht neben der akustischen, nun auch eine visuelle Alarmierung.

"Der Bundesweite Warntag ist ein gemeinsamer Aktionstag von Bund, Ländern und Kommunen. Er findet in der Regel jährlich am zweiten Donnerstag im September statt.
2025 ist dies der 11. September. Ab 11 Uhr wird eine Probewarnung verschickt. Gegen 11:45 Uhr erfolgt eine Entwarnung. Über #CellBroadcast wird derzeit noch keine Entwarnung versendet."

Bundesweiter Warntag 2025
Am 11. September testen Bund, Länder und Kommunen erneut ihre Warnsysteme. Ziel ist es, die Bevölkerung zu sensibilisieren und die Abläufe für den Ernstfall zu erproben.
Ablauf:
10:59:30 Uhr – Auslösung der Probewarnung durch das Bundesamt für Bevölkerungsschutz und Katastrophenhilfe (BBK)
11:00 Uhr – Wahrnehmbare Warnung über verschiedene Kanäle
11:45 Uhr – Entwarnung (nicht über Cell Broadcast)
Was passiert?
Probewarnung über Radio, Fernsehen, Warn-Apps (z. B. NINA), Cell Broadcast In vielen Kommunen: Sirenen oder Lautsprecherwagen Keine Rückmeldung an Feuerwehr oder Leitstelle – 112 ist nur für Notfälle!
Was ist Cell Broadcast?
Seit 2023 erhältst du Warnungen direkt auf dein Handy – ohne App!
Dein Handy muss:
eingeschaltet sein nicht im Flugmodus sein Android (ab Version 11) oder iOS (ab Version 16.1) nutzen

Apart from that we had some #Cellbroadcast related fixes in #phosh and the
pomodoro plugin can now automatically start on unlock.
The #Wayland compositor #Phoc gained initial sysprof support, a debug
option to damage the whole output and we fixed several crashes.

Heute zum ersten Mal eine echte Cell-Broadcast-Warnung bekommen. Ist gar nicht sooo praktisch, wenn man gerade alleine auf der Autobahn fährt.
Catching a real world and *unexpected* #Cellbroadcast message revealed some minor bugs in #phosh and its mobile settings but those were easy to spotted and fixes will land for 0.49. Overall #ModemManager, #cbd, and #phosh picked the message up as expected (and the channel setting worked as well):

@LaF0rge @stman @kDelta @Sempf obviously that's why it was discontinued for a time in #Germany, as it was considered as obsolete as #HSCSD is in light of faster standards that - even without guaranteed bandwith - will yield higher throughput.
Still, even in contended #spectrum this is manageable, espechally since most #MNOs only maintain vestigal #2G or #3G infrastructure solely for #emergency coverage and reliability, as most phones will call emergency services over 2G and 3G and not via #VoLTE.
@stman well, there were some commercial services that used #CellBroadcast but for the most part it's best feature is the effective mass alerting of people in an area without needing them to install yet another app or signup to yet another service...

Given the hamfisted "Australian Approach" I disagree.
Will be interesting to see if Australia can pull that off without having to reenable 2G, cuz I've not heard of a #4G implementation of it...
Was ich persönlich top finde das man hier #cellbroadcast sehr effektiv nutzen kann, es ist mehr als nur für Unwetter gut. Ich bin mal gespannt wann man es auch in Deutschland effektiv nutzt.
