My #amateurradio #callsign is all over the place, license plates, hats, etc. It's a symbol of an accomplishment. I want our students to feel the same way about their callsigns. Why should they have to hide theirs, while the haters display there's? 
I have been getting some inquires about a new prediction on my vanities site, "Blacklisted by FCC".
I noticed that there have been dozens of applications for the callsigns N6ER and N1GI over the last year, but they have not been assigned. I concluded that something was odd in the FCC's vanity #callsign processing.
When I asked the #FCC Helpdesk, they responded stating that "These callsigns are not available to any applicant". So this appears to be a new state, with these callsigns blacklisted.
I've also told the #students stories about how attending an #IEEE #STEM #education #conference with my #HamRadio #callsign displayed on my badge started conversations and helped me meet interesting people (potential clients 
). But they give me that "ok boomer" look 
Looks like #AirForceOne is on its way to #NornIron.

VE2ATU is the #callsign of the "Association des Radioamateurs de l'Abitibi-Témiscamingue". We are a group based in Western Quebec. We are deploying an #aredn mesh network as the backbone of our operations and we run various projects over this like an IMRS network for our Yaesu Fusion repeaters.

@robotfactory I was kinda thinking of it from the #security point of view - If I am talking about #AmateurRadio then I have to talk about it from this account, and at some point mention my #callsign... Whereas if I am on a #HamRadio instance, and only using my callsign then I am relatively "anonymous" in that it's harder to link me and my callsign.
