Anne<p>No eggs?</p><p>Been making this eggless, milkless spice cake for years. <a href="https://tootsweet.social/tags/recipe" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>recipe</span></a> <a href="https://tootsweet.social/tags/cake" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>cake</span></a></p><p>Tomato Soup Cake</p><p>Ingredients:<br>1 c sugar<br>1/3 c shortening<br>1 t baking soda<br>1 small can tomato soup<br>1 1/2 c flour<br>1 t cinnamon<br>1 t cloves<br>1 c raisins</p><p>Preheat oven to 325ºf</p><p>Cream sugar and shortening together. Dissolve baking soda in tomato soup (will foam up) and add to sugar mixture.</p><p>Add flour sifted with spices. Add raisins and mix thoroughly.</p><p>Turn into 9x9 pan and bake for 45 minutes or so.</p><p>Cool and frost.</p>

Da ich gleich in der Küche verschwinden muss, um für den Geburtstag des Waschbärkindes 2 Bleche hiervon zu backen, gibt es gleichzeitig für euch die Erinnerung an diesen kindheitssüßen, fluffigen Tasenkuchen mit Orangenlimo, Zuckerguss und bunten Streuseln.
Die Welt gerät gerade faschistisch-gewaltsam aus den Fugen und mir persönlich hilft Backen tatsächlich im Kleinen, für meinen Kopf, um mich nicht in einer Spirale aus Angst wiederzufinden.

Violetter Kuchenteller mit floralem Vintage-Muster. Darauf ein Stück heller, gelblicher Rührkuchen vom Blech. Das Stück ist glasiert mit Zuckerguss und mit vielen bunten Zuckerstreuseln bestreut. Auf dem Teller liegt hinter dem Kuchenstück eine silberne Kuchengabel. Im Hintergrund ist ein Kuchenblech voll mit diesem zuckerstreuselverziertem Kuchen zu sehen.
