#millennial nostalgia for indie grime and Four Loko as a badge of honor gives me shades of the same cringe I get from #boomers talking about the 60's (that they weren't a part of).

Partially because I was in Williamsburg in the aughts, where that shit was concentrated, but also cause there's the GenX part of me that thinks nostalgia of any sort of dangerously opposed to protective apathy.

Boomers protested and were a key part in ending apartheid.
Boomers created Affirmative Action.
Boomers started Gay Pride and demanded equal marriage rights.
Boomers ended the Cold War and nuclear proliferation.
Boomers fought school segregation and Jim Crow.
Boomers gave us punk rock and reggae.
Elon Musk is not a boomer, neither are 90% of the other oligarchs.
