The core browser functionality of the #DuckDuckGo browser is the WebView component provided by the operating system. This means that the browser engine is #Blink on Android and Windows [my last option], and WebKit on iOS and macOS [not an option in my poll].

On the keyboard, you tap the ^ symbol from the top bar to lock the Ctrl key, then just hit whatever key you need to complete the shortcut, like C-A. I find it very odd when people refer to ‘two main browser engines’, those being Gecko and WebKit.
Do people really think Blink hasn’t diverged significantly enough to consider it another engine at this point?
#GNOME Web is truly independent from #Google. Though still dependent on #Apple, they don't have as much power as Google. It is still better than a Google monopoly. And #webkit is developed with proper APIs and meant to be embedded in other applications unlike Google's #blink.
One big feature missing is support for audio / video calls (webrtc). With #BoringSSL switching to Apache 2.0, a big blocker for webrtc support is resolved.

Пробовал работать в #Vivaldi по рабочим делам в #Linux использующем #KDE Plasma
Заполнил несколько веб-форм на странице, заметил опечатки и решил включить spell check. Браузер молча упал, похерив всё что было набрано в плане текста. Произошло это в ответ на выбор пункта меню по клику правой кнопки мыши.
Аналогично браузер упал и при схожей ситуации на другой веб-странице с иным полем ввода (веб-формы).
Воспроизведение
Стабильно воспроизводится в окне открытом в режиме «Private Window» при попытке добавить язык в список доступных для spell check — зайти в «Language Settings» через пункт этого контекстного меню (см.скриншот).
Выжирает память 1,4 Гб или 654 Мб и падает в core dump: abnormally with signal 11/SEGV.
Версия #Vivaldi 7.1.3570.60-1 из официального репозитория дистрибутива (extra).
Проблемы со spell check
С другой стороны, не может настроить spell check вообще даже для English — во всех отношениях дефолтного — см. скриншот.
Другие языки не установлены и никаких экстеншионов в браузер ещё не поставлено.
И самое забавное, что хрен поймёшь как ваш чудо браузер научить проверять орфографию то. Как ему помочь то, чтобы он таки заработал?

Сердечно поздравляю с тем, что у вас всё хорошо и замечательно в подходах к разработке. Вы гарантированно точно осилите поток перебежчиков, уходящих с #Firefox в сторону вашего и других HTML & JavaScript поделий вокруг #Blink и проекта #Chromium.
В районе 2019 года активно страдали, что крупнейшие веб-ресурсы дискриминировали по user-agent и вам пришлось маскироваться под другие браузеры?
С тех пор никто извне не знает сколько на самом деле у вас пользователей. Но сами то вы прекрасно ориентируетесь, спасибо модели монетизации.
И должны прекрасно осознавать, к чему всё идёт при таких-то подходах к разработке:
