Sometimes a slight rain turns into something that just prevents you from making your way - this time, we were hit by this event just some kilometers after leaving Blankenheim on our seventh stage of the Eifelsteig.

Fortunately, there was shelter as even I (who doesn't care of getting wet due to weather conditions) refused to head on! 😉

The third day marked the sixth stage of the Eifelsteig from Kloster (Monastery) Steinfeld in Kall-Urft to Blankenheim. Despite sleeping within the monastery's guest house, I didn't burn to ashes and so we could head on in the early morning to see one of the most beautiful combinations in nature: The rise of the sun seeking its way to the trees of a wood while the air is still fresh and somehow humid. The dawn of a new day in nature was a perfect start for our third consecutive stage on this Eifelsteig-tour!

So, with moving to another domain name and still lacking account migration in #Pixelfed, I have to start over. After 439 posts on my old instance, this one now moves to a #Docker-ized approach, starting from the scratch - and despite moving posts isn't on the schedule, even migrating followers simply went tits up.

I love the platform, I love the #Fediverse but each new feature on Pixelfed keeps being a complete surprise and, sometimes, I may draw a conclusion from this. Until then, going with Pixelfed is a great trip but also a crossroad, reminding me to stay on solid ground instead of trying each new feature as one of the first people out there...

Fortunately there was a shelter as the rain turned to "extreme mode" in the middle of the meadow forests covering the ways to Alendorf on our seventh stage of the Eifelsteig this August, trying to reach the goal in Mirbach.
