Bei meinen Eltern ist auch der CPU eine Generation zu alt für Windows 11. Neuer CPU kaufen macht da auch gleich null sinn. Zudem macht das Outlook auch nur noch Ärger...

Da ich zumindest auch auf meinen alten PC auch wechseln will. Gaming ist eh auf die Xbox ausgelagert (wird das einzige von MS übrig bleiben)

Bisher habe ich mich in Zorin OS und Elementary OS eingegrenzt.
Falls hier wer noch eine bessere Idee hat, gerne schreiben, soll auch schön aussehen und nicht für jeden Furtz eine Konsole brauch.

Office wird Only Office werden, was bereits schon teste.

Bitwarden wird der Passwortmanager.

Email wird wahrscheinlich Thunderbird. Wer hier was besseres kennt, einfach antworten.

Browser wird Vivaldi.

Dann wird der Teil für mich noch die Frage, was als Ersatz von Sticky Notes und One Note nehmen soll. Es soll auf allen Betriebssystemen funktionieren.

#1Password 7 doesn't work so well for me in macOS Sequoia. It often takes invoking the keyboard shortcut multiple times to fill in Firefox (I haven't tried the other browsers). So I thought I'd give #Vaultwarden (#Bitwarden clone) a try. I discovered that it doesn't automatically import attachments, nor does it support markdown format in item notes, which I use heavily. #BitWarden Seems an infrastructure update in EU environment has gone a bit south on the team. Logged out users inadvertently it would seem. In case anyone sees alarms about Bitwarden. Nothing to indicate a hack or malevolence.

Self-hosted #Vaultwarden provisioned and installed. It certainly would be cheaper for me to just pay #Bitwarden the $10/ year considering this VPS is costing me €5,00 a month and I may eventually. And while I love #KeePassXC the fact that it's not working well with #Flathub versions of my browsers is a royal pain. And I frankly don't want to run two versions of the same software just to get integration.

The #Bitwarden extension gets worse with every update. It saddens me deeply.

One weird thing about Bitwarden is that TOTP generation keys aren't always the same for one's log-ins. I had to manually update all of them in order to get accurate 2FA keys to generate; now all my major accounts I registered with my Bitwarden Authenticator phone app are matched with each relevant log-in for desktop and web extension.

Didn't take long to do, but still, that was a weird choice for Bitwarden to not do that seamlessly in the background.
