Backup bike saddle had a bad habit of just suddenly coming loose whenever I *didn't * have a multi-tool on me. I thought it was finally fixed by last LBS in Lanesboro visit. Houston LBS showed me the problem was basically like a stripped screw. Which was why it sometimes worked--and sometimes didn't.

He replaced it and saddke, and new saddle has 2 bolts instead of just one, so that has made things much better.

Okay, another rusty bike project acquired. The story is, this fellow acquired this bike from Goodwill (looks like he paid 19.99) and started disassembling it, then he panicked because he had gotten in over his head and doesn't have any idea how to reassemble the bike. Not yet restored. He thought he could fix it but apparently got freaked out when he started taking stuff apart and realizing he had no idea what he was doing. #BikeRestoration #BikeTooter

#BikeStreak Day 61:
It was another perfect day to ride, mid 70'sF, light wind, sunshine. My old RAGBRAI crew posted a training ride which I rode on my road bike from the #RochMN Douglas State Trail trailhead to Pine Island, paved county roads to Zumbrota, then Mazeppa and back to Pine Island and the trail back to Rochester for 57 miles. Except for the trail, this is a hilly route for us, and I had over 2000 ft of climbing. I'm looking forward to leftover Chicago pizza for dinner.

My RadMission #ebike came with a whole toolkit of low quality tools, but as I look at my bicycle, The only tools it actually seems to need are 3 mm allen wrench only for control mounts, 4 mm and 5 mm allen wrenches for most things, a 6 mm allen wrench only for the saddle clamp, a 15 mm pedal wrench, and an 18 mm rear axle wrench (6" Crescent should cover these). I need a patch kit/tire levers (haven't had a flat in decades), and a CO2 inflator, a few zip ties for the motor cable. #BikeTooter

This is the few weeks of the year when is actually kinda green. It’s glorious! Also first meeting of the bike team for an unofficial pre-season ride and (for me) fitness check. The flowers are out in force and the trail users similarly.
