Went to check on 3 bald eagle nests today and 2 of them are occupied. Incubation period is 35 days. Should hatch at the end of the month.
Here's a photo of one of the nests taken with a telephoto lens this morning on Vancouver Island. Photo extremely cropped not to give any details about the location of the nest and protect this family of eagles from the crowds.

Early morning outing on the James River, Richmond VA, USA - I recently went out with Capt Mike of Discover the James (https://discoverthejames.mybigcommerce.com) and had an amazing day. He knows the territories and habits of several birds and you are almost guaranteed to get within 50 feet of your subject. Highly recommended for photographers or anyone that just wants to get REALLY close to nature. #birdphotography #birdstagram #naturephotography #osprey #baldeagle #heron #omsystem #OM1 #microfourthirds #on1pics
On schedule: Day 35 after first egg and at least one eaglet has hatched as interpreted from parents bringing fish to the nest, what appears to be feeding activity, and parent perching on a pole close both to the nest and their biped spectators.
