I'm appreciating the free wifi on this aircraft, as well as the fact that I'm kinda mashed into my seat and still able to work without contorting my body. Just did a fun arrangement of some music for brass quintet and woodwind quintet for funsies, now going to turn my attention to this big band thing I’ve been meaning to do.

Am I actually starting on this music project I’ve been thinking about for the last five years or so? It won’t be much, but for me to even *start* this is quite something. We’ll see if my ADHD will let me see it through. It is fairly ambitious (for me).

And as I mentioned before about GarageBand: I would have KILLED to have a tool like this when I was in college!

Though I’ve been out of the #music business for years now, I’m shocked to hear #MakeMusic’s announcement today that they’re quitting #Finale!

This was the #notation software that I built my #arranging business on, like many other professional arrangers. It will be a mad scramble for me and many others over the next month (when MacOS 15 Sequoia is released) to export all of our Finale files as MusicXML while the application still opens. Ugh.

Tonight was a good night

While my better half was using me as a test tenor while #arranging French #chansons for her choir, I got quite a bit of #MiniaturePainting done on my #fedipaint model.

One of the icicles came out of the mould pretty well, too. Poured another and hope to get a lot of small ones tomorrow.

The only bad thing: I thought I'd done the eye pretty well but NO when mega zoomed 😂

Icicle. But not watery. Resiny.
Eye. Red. But with a pupil covering a lot more than the eye.

Trying an #accordion arrangement of Money, Money, Money by #ABBA for the first time. Wow! That tune really suits the instrument. Though I’ll want to add some more harmonies to the arrangement for my own playing preferences. Also playing my own arrangement of Speechless from live action movie #Aladdin. Adore how that one runs up and down the keys. Didn’t play for too long - it’s too hot! But happy to manage that much. #squeezebox #Disney #Music #Arranging #MusicArranging

B's wild, wild world 🌱🐛🎼

Sometimes work's dump pile can offer secret little treasures. This time I snagged some stargazer lilies and pink spray roses.

Everything else is from my garden, black-eyed Susans, carrot flowers, gladiola, and a large piece of American senna for greenery.

Came out okay, I think.

*Note: If you have cats, don't forget to pull off the stamens from your lilies to prevent poisoning. It also allows for a clean bloom in your arrangement.
