Six Flags, the decades-old amusement park in Maryland, U.S., will close permanently on Nov. 2, and its sister site in Santa Clara, Calif., will likely be shuttered in 2027. NBC takes a look at how the pandemic set the company on an economic rollercoaster, and talks to some of the people who work and play there. "When I look back at my life, am I going to say I wasted 10 years walking around Six Flags America?" says Matt Donoghue, who typically visits the park with his family more than 100 times a year. "I don’t think so, because my kids have learned so much about how to be good people from being around good people there."

NBC News · Maryland's Six Flags America closing after economic roller coaster sends it off the tracksBy Shannon Pettypiece

Anyone know what they're talking about?

Spending the weekend with my daughter (Sara) and her Hubs. Thought a cool Saturday would be to start the morning at the Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park, walk on over to the Roaring Camp Railroads; and take the Santa Cruz Beach Train down the Boardwalk.

The day could not have been more perfect.

Didn't take many pics as I was really enjoying the family time, but I got this one of the Boardwalk and beach crowd:
