Amazing #allegory, in which Benjamin, as a labourer in the bowels of the castle, wants to give science in its ivory tower such a slap in the face that it wakes up from its „sleeping beauty“ slumber. Sheds a different light on the failure of his Habil and the form of the #Trauerspielbuch.

She sleeps in her dome hedge. And then, after so and so many years, she wakes up.
But not from the kiss of a happy prince.
The cook woke her up when he slapped the scullion's ear, which echoed through the castle, resounding with the accumulated strength of so many years.
A beautiful child sleeps behind the thorny hedge of the following pages.
That no prince of fortune in the dazzling armour of science may come near him.
For in the bridal kiss it will bite.
Rather, the author has reserved the right to awaken it for himself as a chef. The slap in the face that is to resound through the halls of science is already too long overdue.
Then even this poor truth will awaken, which pricked itself on the old-fashioned distaff when it thought, forbiddenly, to weave a professorial tale in the junk room.

Beautiful #dream last night. I was lost, floating in a calm ocean, no land in sight. A dolphin - one of my spirit animals - came to save me.

It floated underneath, nudging me onto my stomach, pointing me to the right, hovering its fin beneath my hands. I wrapped my hands around the fin - slippery, hard to hold.

That is all. It felt like I was eventually rescued. I woke up, told myself: "Remember this, it's important." Interpretations welcome!

One of my favourite pictures from London's National Gallery. I confess I often hold this picture in my mind's eye as a form of escapism -- an escape from strip malls, bloated SUVs, megachurches with fundamentalist PowerPoints punctuated by bad rock and extempore prayer, cargo pants,
presidential make up, the Hobby Lobby...

The image depicts a late baroque painting with an oval frame, featuringVenus seated on a cloud, draped in a white and pink cloth. She has long, flowing hair and is surrounded by various mythological figures. To her left, a winged male figure , perhps representing Time, holds a baby, while a cherub with wings and a bow is positioned below them. In the background, two white doves fly, and other figures, including cherubs, are present, some holding flowers. The scene is set against a soft, pastel-colored sky with clouds, creating a heavenly atmosphere.
