I survived my trip to London to meet Seanan McGuire. I was awkward and weird and probably didn't do my cause any favours, but never mind. *chuckles* I'm glad I did it, and can spend the next couple of days recovering in peace.

And stars, so much recover needed. I didn't take pain meds with me (though I dosed before I went), and by the last stretch of getting to my train I was wondering if I could flag someone down to wheel me to my platform. I walked over 3 miles, which is a *lot* for a housebound cripple. But it was worthwhile for multiple reasons. I'm going to send her a follow up email in a few days to say how nice it was to meet her, how glad I am that I could get books signed for me and my youngest, and of course, more cat pictures. Always more cat pictures. *laughs* I knew if she couldn't place me by name, she would by cats... which is why I gave her a card from our cats, ha ha.

Right. Back to Minecrafting for brain soothing. *nodnods*

So. *drums fingers* Currently counting down the time until we pack up and head to the train station. Yeah, I'm doing this, heh. I've got my books packed, and have various things charging. What will I take? No idea, ha ha. I might well go fetch my current read down, or maybe knitting will be enough.

For the moment though, just like, caffeine and grinding around in 'Minecraft' for distraction. I got through work rather quickly, which is yay, because I wasn't sure whether I'd be able to manage to find focus for... *checks notes* less than an hour.

Anyways. Time does flow, so I should do my best to let it wash over me and not get like, anxious and stressed out about things. It's my first solo trip to London, I realised. Which is fine! I'm not too fussed about that, having grown up in a different big city and successfully using its mass transport systems. Most of my concern is around overheating and having a vertigo attack, but I don't think that's going to happen either. But that it's even a risk is just... so rude.
