The WFTU affiliates, NEHAWU, organized an important seminar in South Africa on the 80 years of struggles of the WFTU with the participation of tens of trade union cadres on 26th June 2025. The WFTU General Secretary addressed the seminar remotely, delivering a speech on the history of the international class-oriented trade union movement. Moreover, a presentation on the 80th anniversary was presented by the WFTU HQ.

The General Secretary of the World Federation of Trade Union, comrade Pambis Kyritsis had a meeting with young trade unionists from the United States of America, today July 2nd, on the occasion of their visit to Cyprus. The General Secretary gave a brief analysis on the goals and priorities of the WFTU in the upcoming period. In their turn the comrade from the USA informed the General Secretary on the struggles and challenges faced by the working class in their country.

ICYMI: #Science teacher Bruce Yeany turns toilet plungers into #physics lessons by demonstrating projectile motion. While the spinning plunger looks chaotic, its center of mass follows the same parabolic curve as any thrown object—baseballs, javelins, or plungers all obey the same laws.

Using LED lights attached to different parts of the plunger and filming in darkness, Yeany makes the physics visible. The footage shows that rotation doesn't change the fundamental trajectory—the center of rotation traces a perfect parabola just like a ball would.

The WFTU first side-event on the framework of the 113th ILC realized today, on June 9th in Geneva, under the title 80 years of struggle with internationalism and solidarity, the history and the future of the International Class Oriented Trade Union Movement. Friends and members of the WFTU participated in this important event of celebrations for its 80th anniversary, which will culminate in our main event, that will take place in Paris on October the 3rd.
