Today, I saved 2 #iPhone and a remote from the garbage. All of them needed… new batteries…

One of the phones will go to family when it is replaced in the fall; the other will become the new “home phone”, replacing a 12-year old sibling, which well earned its retirement.

The remote is a #HarmonyElite, which I had to resurrect since its intended replacement, the #Sofabaton #X1S which wasn’t able to fill its shoes and is now relegated to another setup.

Yes in that there is cheap stuff like the #Pinebook and absurdly expensive shit like the #ThinkPad #X1s that noone wants and nothing in between.

Granted there are some ood devices - for their money - but even the @Raspberry_Pi@raspberrypi.social #Pi4B & #Pi400 don't follow spec and most certainly don't have #LinuxBoot for the bootchain.
