When you want to play the original Space Quest from 1986, nothing beats the Amiga version and the experience of the Workbench interface. You can even play with a mouse! I'm loving this so much!

I moved my SD card installation from the #PiStorm emulator with its background linux OS fully to #Emu68k now. Not so comfortable to work directly with the .hdf files, but #WinUAE also mounts the SD card partitions to transfer installations simply. In combination with RGB2HDMI the gaming machine is back to life.

I finally found some time updating my WinUAE emulation setup. I had been putting this off for some time, but I am glad everything worked and the games are still running fine! This is so precious!

- Updated WinUAE to 5.3.1 (again)
- Updated Kickstarter ROMs to 47.115
- Updated Amiga OS 3.2 to 3.2.3
- Updated WHDLoad to 19.1

- Several speed layers
- Background snow (falling behind the image)
- No snow columns, snow flakes fall left or right on spikes

I'll release the source soon, it's all fully commented to allow beginners to change the code and learn #amos

On A1200 it can handle (compiled) 50-60 snow flakes.

Oh cool! A new WHDLoad version 19.1 was made available a few days ago. Looks like everything's working without issue with my WinUAE emulation setup. Nice work!

Staying "up-to-date" on my Amiga WHDLoad collection. WinSCP is handy for doing this quickly. This has become part of my regular routine. I'm also mirroring several other collections for Amiga and MS-DOS games, demos and manuals.

Sometimes I just don't see the simple method to do something. Oh, well...

When it comes to Amiga emulation, I just now discovered the "CT RAW" disk image format. These .RAW files can be directly created by KryoFlux and are natively supported by WinUAE. This should also work for copy protected disks! So much easier than building custom IPFs!

I finally got around to updating my Amiga emulation setup to WinUAE 5.3.1 and WHDLoad 19.0.6849 . AmigaOS 3.2 and all the installed games are still working flawlessly.
