Stephen Frears – „The Lost King“ (2022)

"Cherish" is a song by American singer #Madonna from her fourth studio album, #LikeAPrayer (1989). It was written and produced by Madonna and #PatrickLeonard, and was released by #SireRecords as the album's third single on August 1, 1989. "Cherish" was built around the themes of love and relationships, with #WilliamShakespeare's #RomeoAndJuliet being one of the major inspirations. The track also included a line from "Cherish" by the 1960s band #theAssociation.

A quotation from Shakespeare

ARIEL: Full fathom five thy father lies.
      Of his bones are coral made;
   Those are pearls that were his eyes.
      Nothing of him that doth fade,
   But doth suffer a sea change
   Into something rich and strange.
   Sea-nymphs hourly ring his knell.
                    Ding dong.
   Hark, now I hear them — ding dong, bell.

William Shakespeare (1564-1616) English dramatist and poet
Tempest, Act 1, sc. 2, l. 474ff (1.2.474-482) (1611)
