Du hast im der Konversation mit mir bewiesen, dass du dazu nicht nur fast nix weißt, sondern auch meine Erläuterungsversuche mit #whitesplaining versucht zu bremsen. Du bist nicht bereit, dazu zu lernen. Das ist nicht nur mit dem Thema ein echtes Problem, sondern ein Muster, welches dir andere Schlagabtausche hier beschert.

You then proceeded to attempt to tell a white American citizen that the term “white” is only used by white supremacists.

@dwf there's definitely a lot less enthusiasm (among us white/ cis/het/ males) when it comes to acknowledging our own actions, making it our genuine priority to stop causing/ participating in causing harm, and to really work on repairing painful impact we've caused! Speaking for myself of course.

Seems like every #twittermigration brings new people who find that #mastodon is lovely. And new people who worry that #mastodon is replicating white supremacy dynamics. And then new ways that the people who are most likely to be impacted by the white supremacy dynamics get told that their concerns are overblown. I would like this cycle to end, and for people who are most impacted by white supremacy dynamics to be believed without #whitesplaining. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.

Something you'll hear a lot if you hang out in spaces where #black voices can somehow break through the noise of people #whitesplaining racism to them is: "It's not enough to be not-racist, you have to be anti-racist"

Today I experienced peak #WhiteSplaining. An old white dude told me, an immigrant from India, how to turn white rice into yellow rice. "Just add a little spice called Turmeric and that'll do the trick." Then he asked if I've heard of #Turmeric
Bruh, I'm willing to bet anything you want that I've used Turmeric more in one week then you have in a month!
I politely ended the conversation after that
