Dilorom Yuldasheva, a resilient Uzbek entrepreneur who rebuilt her life and empowered rural women through a sewing business after losing her legs in a farming accident, exemplifies determination and community support on a global stage timesca.com/an-uzbek-woman-suf #BBC100Women #DiloromYuldasheva #UzbekEntrepreneur #WomenEmpowerment #Inspiration #Resilience #Entrepreneurship #UzbekWomen #WheelchairLife

peak #DisabledLife #WheelchairLife is referring to getting between point a and point b without the use of a vehicle (car, bicycle, bus, whatever) as walking.

yes, even when I'm using my wheelchair.

showing off which, I frequently feel unbalanced in my #PowerWheelchair, thanks to that different centre of gravity and the difference in the back. on my manual #Wheelchair I have a custom, hard with cushion wheelchair back that was chosen for the best fit.

my power wheelchair has a standard upholstery sling back, which I find very disconcerting having used my manual chair this past year and some since I finally got my custom wheelchair.

I've been a wheelchair user intermittently throughout my life, but this is the first time in my life that I've had or needed a power wheelchair. new things to do with in #WheelchairLife I guess.

Level access trains etc are clearly what we need. When I go out as wheelchair assist, level access places are just much easier, & safer for all. And yes sometimes we do tip the wheelchair over, and it is scary. While we wait for level access, & better pavements, sometimes we choose not to go out. This story might push more disabled people into not taking the risk on unreliable services. Not the way to go, let's make more noise! #wheelchair #wheelchairlife #disability
