@feather1952
It was all pre-planned (Project2025). It was published. They voted them In nevertheless. They’ve got what they deserved.

Now would be agood time for #AlboPM to go on the attack and label #Dutton as a Trump-wanabe and push hard with US examples of the chaos caused by #Trumpists over there and scare the fuck out of all Australians thinking #Dutton ‘s #LNP is the way to go. Use LNP political bullshit against them.

@3goodthings

Hello all! I hope everyone has a moment to pause today to take a breath, especially those of us that feel like we are drowning.
💗You matter and I am happy you are here!

☕ Taking a moment to sip some #coffee quietly before starting my day at full speed

🐉 My #solorpg where I created my familiar to be a mini-dragon that will only grow to the size of a pony. 😆

📖 I have the opportunity to go to a new bookclub tonight. Not sure if I'll go yet, we'll see how the social anxiety is feeling by then.

There's concern about how wind, water & solar can supply electricity 24/7. Well, Biden, Harris & Dems are working on that!

This loan for a new project in California ‘will heat compressed air and pump it into underground caverns filled with water….force the water above ground into a reservoir, and when needed, the water flow back into the chamber, pushing air back to the surface to drive turbines…50+ year life expectancy…500 MW/4 GWh’.

I get the impression that the doomism which is so popular to boost on social media has hidden an important fact about climate action.

When the Paris Accord was signed we were on a trajectory of 5 degrees of warming.

We've brought that down to 3 degrees since then. damn it!

Pointing out positive news about decarbonization because sometimes it feels like we have a manufactured hope deficit that's slowing us down somewhat I fear.

Texas electricity demand grew ~20% in 5 years says Michael Thomas in this article.

But TX fossil fuel generation is flat.

Load growth was met by growth of zero CO2 generation (wind/solar).

Our planet is becoming determined by what we choose to eat!

We can choose to change this.

On this Saturday shopping day we can consider our roles in doing this.

Reforesting to replace grazing lands.

It can be done.

Al Jazeera · The Take: Eating our way out of climate collapseBy Al Jazeera

Joe Biden began the transition of the huge U.S. economy away from fossil fuels and if Americans elect his Vice President to replace him than she will continue that progress.

If we get a blue Congress and Kamala than expect to see some rapid decarbonization start to happen in America as our business leaders will see that it has become inevitable.

But don't wait for someone else to do it before you do what you can to help us to decarbonize.

California's electricity grid is powering like the 6th largest economy in the world, albeit on a Sunday, with almost 75% Renewable Electricity.

Also, California's grid already has enough batteries on it to cover almost 20% of their peak demand btw which every grid needs to start working towards too.

Via Dan Pfeiffer: Kamala Harris has a steady 2 pt lead in the aggregated polls. . It is, however, not yet big enough to feel particularly confident about her chances with the Electoral College. The battleground states that Harris needs to win are more Republican than the nation as a whole, which is why the Electoral College is biased towards Republicans... #VoteBlue #WeCanDoThis

This project is installing floating wind turbines too which are so crucial towards expanding offshore wind on our west coast!

US Wind’s Maryland Offshore Wind Project, as approved, could generate over 2 gigawatts of clean, renewable energy for the Delmarva Peninsula and power over 718,000 homes. Additionally, the development and construction phases of the project could support 2,680 jobs annually over seven years.
