:Semele My local council (#SouthWestWales) mentions, in a request for further participation in its consultation, that "Evidence suggests pedestrians are five times more likely to be killed if hit by a vehicle driven at 30mph, compared to 20mph."
"Yeah that's all well and good, but some people don't *want* to drive that slow!", some are saying.
I'll fill in their consultation and strongly encourage them to be brave and keep the low-speed limit on as many roads as possible.

Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell is seeking reelection but a story about him pointing a gun at a pregnant lady over a parking spot back in the 90s seems to be dogging him this year. Let's hope this finally dooms his political career
