Mad game at the moment. Huddersfield starting both halves well but then the tenth minute comes around and they collapse. Which is nice as a Wakey fan. 42-10 up at the moment, still twenty minutes to go.

Hull KR just had far more than us in that second half after a close, competitive first 40. A few silly mistakes here and there. The Robins are a good team. Those two quick scores after the half changed the game and we couldn't adapt to it.

Those little periods in games where the ability to tackle falls out of every player's head are frustrating but I can't be too disappointed by this performance overall despite the widening gap in the scoreline now.

After our win last week over Wigan it would be nice to think we could travel to the league leaders today and get something here too, but realistically it's not particularly likely. Hull KR are a bit of a force to be reckoned with this season. Hoping it's a good game, whatever the result.

Tough game. A shame to lose that one but some of that woeful tackling in the first half and inability to handle the GLDOs did us in.

Lovely. Wakefield beat Salford 72-10, equalling the biggest margin of victory we've ever had in Super League as the commentators never tired of mentioning as we approached that milestone. Red Devils team totally outclassed, and the result never in any doubt.

It's Rugby League so it can all change around in an instant, of course, but this is looking lovely and easy for Wakefield early on against Salford. Not unexpected, but nice, and let's keep it going.

Well, that was a very satisfying, walloping win over Warrington Wolves from Wakey.

Eighteen minutes to go and Wakey are walloping the Wire. On the back of the Pompey game this is shaping up to be a great day for sports.

Picked up some beer to celebrate the return of Wakefield to Super League action, on now. We usually drink craft ale but have gone with something a little more mainstream for a change with Hobgoblin Ruby to start. Quite jarring how different it is - it tastes mass-produced; it feels less loved, somehow - from what we're used to now.

Anyway, come on Wakey!

Expected, but good to have it confirmed, and a Grade A status in the new and controversial ranking system for determining who deserves to be in #SuperLeague regardless of how good you actually are as a team.
