#YanisVaroufakis: "Many refer to this world — the one in which #GenX grew up — as the #neoliberal era, others associate it with #globalisation, some identify it with #financialisation. It’s all the same thing — the world the #NixonShock begat and which the 2008 financial crash shook to its foundations. After the 2009 bailouts, although US hegemony continued unabated, it lost much of its dynamism. Today, the Nixon Shock has run out of steam — at least from the perspective of the Trumpists who want to give #UShegemony a second (or is it a third?) wind. This is the whole point of the #TrumpShock and its masterplan, including tactical moves such as enlisting #crypto to their cause."

Pentagon Study Declares American Empire Is 'Collapsing'
'Report demands massive expansion of military-industrial complex to maintain global "access to resources." "The solution proposed to protect US power in this new “post-primacy” environment is, however, more of the same: more surveillance, more propaganda (“strategic manipulation of perceptions”) and more military expansionism.'

On the real reason why the US is trying to scaremonger the entire world into thinking that China is a world threat.

The only world threat is the US foreign policy of intervention, sanctions, forced regime changes, coups.

China's dominance is commercial. Their economy is larger than the US. China has a policy of non-intervention is other states' internal affairs. Their interest is commerce and development, a win win situation.

As the news unfolded on Wednesday morning, I was struck that Chancellor Scholz's first public comment was 'a message posted on X'. The same was true for many other world leaders.

And that epitomises the problem. #X is a platform owned by one highly partisan billionaire and run for their interests. It needs people to sign up to read messages. News sites can't even embed them any more.

How can a state resist #USHegemony if it can't even claim sovereignty over official communications?

In 1959, Fidel Castro came to power in an armed revolt which overthrew the Cuban dictator, Fulgencio Batista.

Castro quickly aligned with the Soviet Union, seized American and foreign-owned assets, and declared himself a Communist.

Alarmed, the Eisenhower Administration approved a plan devised by the CIA in 1960 to train Cuban exiles to infiltrate Cuba and start a revolution.

The territorial disputes in the South China Sea should only be resolved through mutual consultation among the countries involved in Southeast Asia and China, said Veronika Saraswati, senior researcher at the Center for Strategic and Int'l Studies. #UShegemony

The U.S. is rushing to interfere in the principle of ASEAN by deploying missiles in the Philippines, said Seun Sam, a policy analyst at the Royal Academy of Cambodia, adding that both countries are "very wrong" since they breach the ASEAN Charter for own benefits. #UShegemony

The U.S. deployment of medium-range ballistic missiles in the Philippines posed a serious threat and danger to the peace and stability in the region, warned Joseph Matthews, a senior professor at the BELTEI International University in Phnom Penh. #UShegemony
