I never received the #UKEmergencyAlert test on my phone which has led me to the only logical conclusion: I am one of the potential emergencies that scares this country.

Oh, not only do you have to be living somewhere with 4G coverage to get a #UKEmergencyAlert but according to https://www.gov.uk/alerts/how-alerts-work you also have to be able to afford a recent phone for it to be expected. Minimum Android version is 11, but earlier versions "may still be able to receive alerts". So the most up-to-date personal phone I have is 9, which didn't alert, and the one that's been irritating me with test alerts for ages is back on 5.

I didn't get the UK government alert on my phone. I turned it off. But imagine what they'd do if there were a danger to life. Based on their abandonment of UK civilians caught up in the Sudan civil war not much. With the Tories it's every man for himself and the devil take the hindmost.

@acp Yep, three and iD Mobile devices didn't get it here.
Heard reports of some on three getting it, but no-one not on three missing out.
