A halloween special today...

I might not have plans but I can still get in touch with the spirits and enjoy myself by breaking in a new dress. This was a bit different from my usual style. No bold colours and a double leg slit but it gave me some great euphoria. So much that it was hard to stop spinning.

Antes de la era del «fast fashion» podíamos hacernos de ropa muy linda y además duradera. Hoy todo lo que se vende es perene y se desecha a las dos o tres puestas, lo cual genera un enorme impacto ambiental. Por eso trato de buscar marcas que mantengan altos estándares de calidad en la confección de sus modelos, aunque eso cada día es más difícil. Las tiendas terminan siendo vencidas por la tendencia al no poder competir con las grandes marcas que imponen el fast fashion.

Esta reflexión viene a mi mente pues se me antojó sacar un vestido que ya tiene doce años conmigo y se sigue viendo fenomenal. No sólo es reconfortante saber que aún me queda, pero que se sigue viendo bien. ¿Ustedes que opinan?

It can be surprising at times what helps affirm our identity and triggers a little hit of euphoria. It's just a simple T-shirt, nothing really that different from what I wore as a guy.

Yet, the oversized cut and some shorts make it feminine in a way that a guys top just can't.

It is something similar but different. A symbol of continuity and change. In so many ways, it sums me up.

Caught up with my parents this week, my dad made me laugh in a weirdly affirming way. He was a little concerned that I was going goth.

I was not wearing any black, so it was just bizarre, but I also loved that we are at the stage where those things are what he worries about now.

I used to be way too serious...

It used to be an effort to smile for the camera. Most of the time, it just looked fake, so I just had to perfect a cool stare.
