RailmapsToday's historic photo of the day: Snapped through a window of the Moss Vale to Sydney via Wollongong <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/train" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#train</a> we see the signal box at Summit Tank, NSW, December 14 1985.At 108km by rail from Sydney via Wollongong, Summit Tank is at the summit of the cross-country line from Moss Vale to Unanderra south of Sydney. The line, which connects the Southern Highlands line at Moss Vale with the Illawarra line at Unanderra, is 57km long and descends steep grades down the escarpment east of Summit Tank.
