Morning run, 16.5k, 480m up- and downhill. People get excited about negative splits, I tried to avoid them. But climbing 200m on the first 2k is just harder than running it downhill at the end.
Morgenlauf, 16.5km, 480m hoch & runter. Die Leute lieben negative splits, ich versuchte sie zu vermeiden. Doch 200m rauf auf den ersten zwei Kilometern ist halt langsamer als die selbe Strecke runter am Ende.
Aletsch Halb - An extremely runnable trail
half marathon with views on the remainders of the longest glacier in Alps. Tons of gorgeous views. Amazing spectators. Really happy with my performance. Not so much with the incredible amount of people and queuing. But overall 10/10 worth it, would recommend.

*Team Adaptive Mentorship Program*
UTMB launched a new first-of-its-kind mentorship program for adaptive athletes (link to a photo showing the athlete pairings): At its heart, this mentoring programme is driven by a simple idea: to forge stronger connections within the trail community. Every Team Adaptive athlete is partnered with a trail elite who has voluntarily committed to this human adventure. […] …

*Restonica Trail 2025 Results*
On the same weekend that saw the European Major at Val D’Aran in the Pyrenees in Spain (results to follow!), UTMB hosted another southern European event in Corsica. Restonica Trail, like Val D’Aran, had to activate an alternate route due to stormy conditions in the forecast. Find all UTMB coverage on my dedicated UTMB page […] …
Approaching the obelisk; from yesterday’s run between Weymouth and Lulworth cove in Dorset, on the south coast of England. Today was a lot more hilly. #trailrunning #running
Same long run as last week, slightly harder effort by HR though RPE was about the same. Shaved 7+ minutes off the loop, legs felt stronger overall, few more light jogs up slight inclines.
Actually saw a snake and a real live person! And stopped to snap a pic of a mountain top pool.
Shout out for my running trainer (Bart Schreuter). He is running Another One Bites the Dust this weekend (in Belgium). It's his 4th and final race for earning the Legends Slam. He needs to do at least 28 laps to earn a medal, but it's a 'last man standing' race (backyard format) so who knows how far he will run...
Bumped into Dan Lawson at Kimmeridge today and had a chat with his support crew as he makes his attempt for the FKT on the UK south west coast path. Big jog ahead for Dan but he’s a machine so I reckon he could do it Nice to chat with Richard Brown there - former Lands End-JohnO’Groats and British 48 hour record holder. #trailrunning #running #FKT

Today I wanted to push myself a little bit, so I ran my usual 15 km on a different route, with 650m EG instead of the usual 500m while keeping my pace below 7. I've managed that a few times before on the same route, but unfortunately it didn't work out today, maybe also because of the jungle like trails
Still it was a nice run, including some spectators who watched me sweat with complete disinterest

@aalmiray well done! And the pace is pretty good for #trailrunning
A shorter long run today. With the Garmin training plan I run the basic runs at a slightly higher heart rate than with Runmotion or Humango. This higher avg HR also results in a slightly higher average pace which can be seen in the attached statistics on Strava. Next week, taper week with the Veluwezoom Trailrun on Sunday, 32km and fairly flat. A good moment to see where I stand.
