It is historically interesting that the film was paired with the early <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/RogerCorman" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>RogerCorman</span></a> picture, The Day the World Ended. Though I haven't found anything to indicate this, it's also possible that Phantom's awfulness got spoofed to a degree in Corman's later <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/Creature" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Creature</span></a> send-up, The Creature from the Haunted Sea.</p>
