Is this the end, or the beginning? Can it be both? The beginning of an end, an end to a beginning? Winston Churchill sings down low.

Thanks to @Long_live_rock_n_roll for reminding me that #Revolver by #TheBeatles was released on 5 August 1966.
The cover was by the Beatles’ old Hamburg friend, artist and musician #KlausVoormann. I thought my version below came out okay, but there was a lot of detail in the photo collage which was hard to replicate.

Steve doing all the noises with feedback, an #ebow, and #JerryGarcia’s old #Mutron. Steve discovered that the mutron “leaked” and allowed him to get a sequencer effect.

Tomorrow Never Knows (1966) is one of the most extraordinary musical statements of all time. Taking LSD, Lennon wanted a serious voyage of self-discovery. He turned to a book, The Psychedelic Experience, which paraphrases The Tibetan Book of the Dead. The results were spectacular & Lennon hastened to capture them in song. The recording process is legend & reflects collaborative genius, a tape-looped sound from the future that still stuns today.
More here on "Tomorrow Never Knows" and the Beatles' tendency to use C (and often Bb and C# to accommodate other instruments such as the sitar) in their music. This article makes the reasonable argument that because Lennon's vocals (and the Hammond organ) drift to Bb, "TMK" cannot, in fact, be called a one chord song.
