MakaryOkay, so, the thing is. I'm really hyped about this <a href="https://gts.makary.online/tags/rpg" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#RPG</a> system (<a href="https://gts.makary.online/tags/theelectricstate" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#TheElectricState</a>), and haven't seen any <a href="https://gts.makary.online/tags/actualplay" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#ActualPlay</a> of it yet. So when I have seen this, I've decided to give it a go. Session 0? Not really fascinating, but they are not exactly supposed to be, right? I still like when acutal plays give the listener a way to look 'under the hood', see all the gritty mechanical stuff related to character creation, and also it just helps to gauge how complicated the system is. Session one, was, well, definitely paced differently then I'm used to. But when I reached the of it, I was surprised to discover, that I am actually so invested in the characters, that I need to listen to the next episode right now. And then I discovered that it is a retrospection episode, so I groaned and decided to reconsider the next day. Next day is today, I'm finishing the third session, and despite the pacing and the semi-uncomfortable way of listening to the thing, I'm fully sold, really invested, and will defend these queer dorks (I mean the characters) with my life if called upon. So, IDK, maybe sometimes it's worth to wait and see before you decide you don't like something? I don't know, I'm not the boss of you, but it worked out for me. 9/10, will binge until there's nothing left. Mark HI'd heard some pretty poor reviews of The Electric State but decided to give it a watch this evening and thought it was reasonably good. Kristoffer Lawson<a href="https://attractive.space/tags/TalesFromTheLoop" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#TalesFromTheLoop</a> is a horribly underrated series on <a href="https://attractive.space/tags/Primevideo" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Primevideo</a>. Based on a series of <a href="https://attractive.space/tags/scifi" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#scifi</a> paintings by Swede Simon <a href="https://attractive.space/tags/St%C3%A5lenhag" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Stålenhag</a>, and powered by music by <a href="https://attractive.space/tags/PhilipGlass" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#PhilipGlass</a>, the series is beautifully filmed, meditative and more evocative than <a href="https://attractive.space/tags/TheElectricState" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#TheElectricState</a> (also based on Simon’s work). Each episode is a mini sculpture of humans and storytelling. Though I admit it requires the right mindset to fully enjoy.
