I have always loved bloopers. 🦑 I always felt so bad for the one you have to kill in Super Mario Sunshine! 😭

One thing I love about Paper Mario is how you can befriend goombas, koopas, etc and see their civilizations. I would like to see bloopers get this kind of love and respect in a game. Like an underwater blooper kingdom level. That would be cool.

Nintendo will never do it, but one thing they could really do to build on the popularity of the games would just be to embrace fan projects and legitimise the better ones.

Make a deal to see the Galaxy Story mod as official #SuperMarioOdyssey DLC. Put Mario Eclipse on Switch Online instead of vanilla #SuperMarioSunshine. Add the best fan tracks for #MarioKart into the new game. Etc.

They could literally get DLC and new games for maybe a tenth of the usual dev costs and effort.

So I'm trying out Super Mario Eclipse and it looks like its a winner. Not even done with it. The one downside is you still have all the original levels but QOL changes that with autosaves, getting Shines whilst getting back to levels quickly, and all blue coins available simultaneously.

There's extra areas, connections between levels that weren't there before and I spotted at least one BRAND new level. Given that, there is likely 240 Shine Sprites.
