Ah, to end the Squishmallow saga, I will indeed be getting a Squishmallow, still not sure if it will be something I'll have customized, but I will get one for sure though so I can have both my bear who's name is also named bear next to me, and my squishmallow who's name I'll figure out as soon as I get it, I don't pick the names, it just tells me and I go with it, same with bear, bear just told me his name is bear and I just accepted it. I know, hard to believe my stance on cudddling has changed so drastically, remember when only a few months ago I told everyone cuddling was weak because it brakes the warrior image and as a man cuddling isn't something a warrior does? What utter rubbish that is, I'm glad I've changed and it took love to figure that out, because nothing else worked to get it through my skull that I was wrong. #StuffedAnimals #Cuddling #Squishmallow

Mid-May I started this project as a gift for my friend. The top one was a prototype I made with found fabric in my house. I mistakenly thought I could create my own pattern. Note the oddly proportioned butt! OMG we got some good laughs out of it...The bottom bunny is the final gift. I used a pattern I bought on Etsy & the craftsperson also had a YT video.

Whew, busy day. First day I work in a month is always busy because people love to pay bills when the month starts. But I got through all of that, and then I got an order out -- first of the month, huttah, etc. I'll be doing a plzbuy post later, fyi. xD

One thing I think about here and there is like... how here on the fedi, finding the right instance can be a Big Deal™® for a lot of people. And yet, I just joined one that had an amusing name and turned out to be a good fit.

Which is to say, I like the people who run the instance and find them easy to talk to when needed/wanted. We've had a slight issue the last couple of days, and I tend to notice it first because I'm probably the most easterly person, ha ha. But like, I've done enough being admin and mod and boss in life that I will always appreciate how good leadership makes for a good place.

(Also, random hourly duckbot xD)

Right. I'm going to go have a cold drink and zone out for a tiny bit. And then more boring promo work. *nodnods*

I am close to reaching 5 stuffed pals to reach the number of #DavidLynch and his "Boys" (5 Woody Woodpecker dolls). My dad started it with a thrift store Goofy.

Then my good friend Carlos continued it with a wonderful, chubby raccoon I call Snacks.

Then I picked up the #Pokemon Haunter from pre-tariff Temu for cheap and named him Aleister.

Now today I have added a 4th, a #redpanda I've already decided to name Yáng after a Chinese word meaning positive and sun.

Headline: Benefits of Using Stuffed Animals

Source: alzheimersdisease.net

From the article: "Stuffed animals are not a one size fits all solution for everyone with Alzheimer's dementia. My recommendation would be for use with those individuals in mid- to late stages of the disease. I have many years of experience as a health care professional. However, it wasn't until I saw how much joy they gave my mom, that I began to really think about stuffed animals as being therapeutically beneficial and a possible door or gateway into her new world."
