Magical Cat

Today after morning coffee (with cinnamon and vanilla sugar) I got an impulse to tilt the cup in various ways and as result the shape formed on wall of cup.
I just looked at it, and these thoughts popped in my head:
* the running man
* a lighting (may be by Perun?)
* a huge root of a tree (The Great Oak or Yggdrasil?).
It was an interesting thing to do, and it was special for me to do something like this first time ever exactly on Winter #Soltice

Last night was a shortest night and I marked it by setting off from the house at sunset and walking a big loop through paths, woods, fields, and town that I know pretty well, returning at sunrise, seven hours later.

Fields out of town were roaring with distant ring road traffic. Town at 3am was silent.

Here is pre-dawn light and mist rising. You can't hear the dawn chorus (but I could!).

I still find it hard to believe that so many humans and animals sleep all night. On the other hand, I am tired now!
