RoosmarijnI started this project over a year ago, but just wasn’t that much into sewing this year. But one of my best friends is getting married next month and that was just the incentive I needed to finish this dress. First time making button holes by myself and first time that I managed an invisible zipper that is actually invisible. Olivier KillherrJ’ai profité de quelques jours de vacances chez ma mère pour me lancer dans une nouvelle réalisation couture, tout en suivant des cours de perfectionnement en finitions sous son regard aiguisé et exigeant 🫣🤣 Le résultat est cette tunique « Kaï » de chez Les patr´homs, réalisée dans une double gaze de coton verte. C’est un modèle confortable pour l’été. Sophie propose trois déclinaisons de ce modèle, j’ai choisi la version avec col classique mais sans boutons sur la patte de boutonnage pour un aspect plus décontracté. Je trouve qu’elle s’associe très bien avec ma veste « Carl », également de chez les Patrhoms, que j’ai réalisée il y a peu. Merci Maman pour ton aide précieuse et bienveillante. Je ne peux pas rêver meilleur professeur. This material is more like linen than cotton. And I love the pattern. Medium size.

I made the bias binding for the hem from the same fabric to keep the theme. As always, no elastic, no buttons, it simply ties and therefore, adjusts to the body as needed. It has pockets.

SandraSchützSewingforyourLifeBlouse is nearly finished. Still missing hems, some topstitching, buttons and buttonholes. I will make the pattern from a different (thinner) fabric again. I'm quite happy with how the pattern came together. It's a soft muslin and the pattern is bits of paisley with flowers interspersed. The blue and the pattern are meant to look slightly faded. Light blue trim. This one is a medium to small.

Agas Ramirez 🎙️more photos of the handmade blouse (taken in the edoya bathroom because lighting). this is a cheap cotton fabric mass produced in china but with "traditional" patterns, so its use is actually discouraged. for me though, since it costs just around 50 php/yard and is easy to cut and sew, it's a good way to practice pattern alignment before working with real indigenous fabrics which can cost up to x10. This colour is hard to capture. It's a nice dark green, not petrol. I used a lekala pattern as a base and picked the sleeves from <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/Simplicity8506?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Simplicity8506</a>.
