Augustin Marlorat du Pasquier, French Reformer, says Christ will focus on deeds of love on the last day (Matthew 25). Marlorat says charity is a token by which we declare ourselves to worship God.
Was told in youth it was Marxism to say this passage was about feeding hungry people. But this idea is all over the Reformation, as I soon shall prove by inductive reasoning.
How can you declare yourself to worship God?

Churches offer hollow welcomes because they don't realize that Jesus has sent the person to them to be welcomed. Churches forget to see the providence of the Holy Spirit and the pure human grit that has brought this newcomer to their doors.
The person before you has lived an entire life, endured countless crosses, made innumerable decisions to be in your presence. The first reaction to the presence of another human should be awe at the image of God that now graces us. #sermonprep
