So... I'm not going to say it has been hot today and I've been working hard. I will say that I've just taken my socks off, and stood them carefully up next to the washing machine to be cleaned.
Yeah. Its warm. I been sweating like crazy.
I have drank three big bottles of juice today, and I still have a drouth on me.

We had a brief thundershower move through, but it has not cleared the air. It has made it worse. It is so hot the rain is turning to steam on the roads and pavement.
It is like living in a sauna.
The heat and humidity has been ferocious today.
For #Scotland, I mean. Obviously people from normally hot and wet countries would disagree.
For Scotland, this has been a horrible day. You could feel the humidity pushing through.

Some more spring impressions from my hometown.
We had several days of warm spell (high twenties) and today we're back to 5-6C. Sometimes I feel like I'm still in Scotland..

Why is it that rainy mornings feel colder than frosty mornings?
God, I'm tired. I went to bed at nine last night and slept straight through til the alarm at five. And I'm still tired.
Why is it that on the weekend it is cloudy and blah outside, but during the week the sun blazes in the sky at eye searing intensity? I want it to be cloudy during the week while I'm out driving, and sunny at the weekends. Not the other way around.
Apparently warm enough at nights now to see at least one bat out and about. That doesn't seem right for Feb, but who knows these days.

You know those big builder's merchants bags they deliver a ton or more of sharp sand or gravel and the like, in?
Just seen three of them fly by the window at <i>above</i> roof level.
That is something I never expected to see.
In terms of driving hazards in a lorry, it is the gusts that are the real problem. You can lean into a constant wind, to a degree, but the gusts just come out of nowhere and grab you and throw you around the place. #StaySafe, everyone.

Just riding #StormEowyn out in mild terror in my flat now. Trying not to wince at every crash and bang outside. I am not looking at the fence, or my car, until this is all over. I see no reason to torment myself like. If I look and it is fine, I'm in a higher state at every subsequent bang, and if they are down already then I'll be in high anxiety freaking out on how to fix it which I can't do now anyway. #ScottishWeather
Pour one out for the three guys trapped by fallen trees. They are fine, and the wagons are fine, just there are trees blocking the road ahead of them, and behind them. They are literally trapped on the road with their lorries.
Well, never let it be said that being heart lazy never pays off. I dragged my feet loading the lorry for so long that I was still loading when the guys who loaded ahead of me started to return to the depot saying the roads were impassable. And they were not going. So everyone still loading gets sent home on full pay.
According to the thermometer in the yard outside, we bottomed out at -9.4C at 4am here in #SWScotland.
It is still saying we're on 0C outside right now. Supposed to get warmer later and tomorrow though. There is a cloudfront moving in, to be fair.
It is cold and it is foggy out. I feel this is not a good combination. I'm not sure if it is fog, mist, or really low cloud. I'm not even sure there is a difference. #ScottishWeather
