Just contemplating going to bed with a hot water bottle...in June
Welcome to summer in Glasgow - but at least the architecture still looks brilliant even when it's bucketting down (as it was at times during this morning's dog walk around the Botanic Gardens).

I just love this bridge! And after having to wear wellies to take out the compost because it’s been chucking it for days and I got drookit going home from work, it’s nice to remember that there can be nice days in Scotland. Coincidentally I learned tonight that there are over 100 words for rain in Scots… no kidding!

@peterbrown in bits of N America yes but I’m guessing it won’t be too popular in places where even in summer it’s windy in four directions at once & the rain is pretty much horizontal*

Wore my full waterproofs to go shopping on my bike today. Probably a bit of overkill but at least stayed dry. Mostly mild to moderate drizzle, but it can really be nasty when cycling with no waterproofing. #ScottishSummer
