There must be cups of tea and time to pet the cat. There must be time to read books, both wonderful ones and ordinary ones. Make your heart happy by drawing imperfect pictures. Take less than perfect photographs. Be certain to write terrible poetry. Smile at the vase you picked up at the secondhand shop. Enjoy the breeze wafting in the window. Think to yourself that Blue Jays are loud little bastards and smile. Do things that make you happy because that’s where life is lived. #saturdaythoughts
