Fortschritte auf der Baustelle

Neben dem Bahnhof Stadelhofen entsteht – darüber habe ich bereits geschrieben – ein neues Gebäude. Grosso modo ein Bürogebäude, aber auch mit einer Velo-Garage. Modern, mit viel Beton, Stahl und grossen Fensterflächen. Der Architekt ist berühmt und hat auch den Bahnhof geplant: Santiago Calatrava.

Ich erinnere mich gut an die Zeit, als auf der Baustelle in schwindelnder Höhe ein Schaufelbagger stand, der da oben schaufelte und baggerte und das Seine dazu tat, damit das Haus höher wurde. Irgendwo da auf der obersten Ebene stand auch ein blaues ToiToi-WC für alle Fälle bereit.

Unterdessen nimmt das Gebäude Formen an: Etage um Etage wird mit Fenster-Elementen versehen, und es ist offenbar zu seiner vollen Höhe angewachsen.

Nur das ToiToi, das sieht man nicht mehr …

Во время первой поездки за границу(страшно подумать - 12 лет назад...) был впечатлен его Городом искусств и наук в Валенсии, во время второй - специально поехал в столицу Тенерифе, чтобы посмотреть на здание оперы. Настало время ознакомиться и с работами на других континентах.

It was a beautiful day when we visited the Milwaukee Art Museum. The winds were high so the wings were closed. The Burke Bris Soleil (designed by Santiago Calatrava) is a moveable sunscreen on top of the art museum. If the wind speeds reach 23 miles per hour or more, the wings will automatically close.
