I gotta say, if you want a wild handheld music making machine, look no further than the Polyend Tracker Mini. I don't know what the deal is with software updates, but the beta I have now has more of a toolbox than I could ever use, and the constraints are enough to give it its own flavor as a musical workstation.
Samples are a cajon, a shaker, and my voice. Song is called "In a Box"

#Eminem owes his #breakout #hit to a #Black #queer #artist
When creating what would become the #megahit “#MyNameIs…,” the #rapper #sampled a #song from the #Black #queer #poet and #musician #LabiSiffre. A prolific #UK #songwriter penned a number of hits in the 1970s and 1990s, it was Siffre’s beat to 2003’s “#IGotThe…” that gave #Eminem’s #rap #single its #iconic #sound.

#VGMWednesday from @Miona has the theme of #Sampled. So I had to go with one of the greatest video game inspired and sampled albums of all time
Mega Ran and Lost Perception "Black Materia: Final Fantasy VII"

Okay, @miona's #VGMWednesday has a theme of #Sampled - looking for songs where elements from video game music is incorporated into the beat / melody of a song.
Let's take it back to 1995 when Bone Thugs-N-Harmony sampled the underrated #SegaGenesis fighting game Eternal Champions in their aptly titled track, "Eternal."
Check it out: https://songwhip.com/bone-thugs-n-harmony/eternal

This #VGMWednesday we're looking at artists who have #Sampled video game music and sounds.
I was having a hard time thinking until I recalled this little ditty from Kero Kero Bonito that has a sample of the Mario 64 level title jingle running through the whole thing. It's also thematically an appropriate song for Fedi I think

The theme for today's #VGMWednesday hosted by @miona is #Sampled, songs that sample music or sound effects from video games.
Immediately reminded of "What It's Like in Japan" by Logan Whitehurst.
I pretty much exclusively listen to VGM only, so for this week's VGM Wednesday, I'll do the opposite of what the actual theme is and share a couple of VGM that sampled an artist's music.
My choices are the air and surface boss themes of Armed Police Batrider: Chop U! and Let Ass Kick Together!
Both of these sample the Cocobat Crunch album from Cocobat, specifically Can't Wake Up and Cocobat Crunch respectively.
