tonight, on 21/12, the most holiest of Rush holidays ( along with the day Neil joined the band ), spouse was watching a Librarians movie where they make a journey to see Geddy

Tragic that they would misspell his name in a movie about librarians

They're also confused as Neil is the one famous for visiting Africa

Luckily we have the music :)

Freewill, The #RUSH Experience, is celebrating 30 years with a concert in #Tempe #Arizona

#Freewill is a great #TributeBand I've seen many times before

The band members are true fans of Rush, you have to be to practice as hard as they do

Recently they also gave a shoutout for Craig Maloney before he passed, so thanks to them for helping with #RushForCraig

Dream: Rush was playing at a small sports bar. They were playing at a very low volume to where one could have a conversation over the music. I was standing close to the stage and could see Geddy clearly. He was wearing a white, what appeared to be a cheerleader outfit, and he was quite short. Alex was at the back of the stage playing a very small instrument, a cross between a mandolin and a violin and played with a bow. I was surprised because I didn’t know he played violin. #dreams #rush #RushIsABand

@futurebird didn't realize The Church is still around making new music, thanks!

Billy Thorpe is probably obscure

Children of the Sun (first contact)- youtube.com/watch?v=AETNjlzwCj

#Rush is probably not so obscure

Cygnus X-1: Book I (black hole) - rush.com/songs/cygnus-x-1-book

Countdown (space shuttle launch) - rush.com/songs/countdown/

And, of course, 2112 (distopian future) - rush.com/songs/2112/

Cygnux X-1: Book II (leaves the black hole for ancient Greece) - rush.com/songs/cygnus-x-1-book

Well, I've finally finished it (I've had it since Xmas). Geddy Lee's "My Effin' Life" is an emotional ”Big One” of a ride. I laughed (a lot, mainly at #Lerxst), cried (some passages are really tough) but, more importantly, celebrated this fantastic journey that, more than anything, encompassed the Canadian trio that was #Rush, and why I fell in love with them in the first place, way back in 1977. The memories evoked by reading about the albums in order, throwing me back to the times when I'd eagerly leg it to the shops to buy them on release day.... AND I still play them. Damn, this book even makes me want to join a band again. Anyone need a really steady, 60yo bass player in the #Tameside area? I'm no #Dirk but I can hold it down. Effin' loved this book. Mint. 10/10

#RushForCraig if I'm correct the following studio albums are left

* Moving Pictures
* Presto
* Vapor Trails
* Clockwork Angels

We've been doing it somewhat wrong, #CraigMaloney was choosing albums randomly

Per XKCD documentation, the random number is 4, so next week we'll have #ClockworkAngels

xkcd.com/221/

There are 3 clockwork books:

* libro.fm/audiobooks/9781469228
* libro.fm/audiobooks/9781501904
* libro.fm/audiobooks/9781705051

The boys interview radio royalty, media historian, & early #RushIsABand champion, Dr. Donna Halper about her experience as a key contributor to the glory days of Cleveland’s pioneering rock radio giant, WMMS. In addition, the boys continue their quest to determine if Cleveland killed rock ‘n roll by conducting an autopsy on the corpse of the Michael Stanley Band’s 1980 heartland hit, He Can’t Love You #cleveland open.spotify.com/episode/6nMt0
