Well, what an experience! The support all around the route is absolutely insane! Absolutely thrilled to have completed it!

Covid recovery continues. Pushed it a little bit with a tempo run today, but felt mostly OK. Weight training has been easier of the body so far, but hoping the warmer weather keeps enticing me out for my runs.
First post-Covid run. I’ve basically been on the couch since the 12th, so it felt like a big deal to get out and run today. It didn’t feel great, and I’m sure there’s still a road ahead, but I’m happy I was able to do it.
Quick shovel-out this morning followed by 40 minute progression run. Roads were still a bit sloppy in spots, particularly the hills. Overdressed a bit with a base layer and vest, now trying to warm back up with some cinnamon rooibos.
Pennywise - Straight Ahead
One of the things I appreciate most about Saturday long runs is that I often have the opportunity to listen to multiple albums in their entirety. Follow up with a workout session and that usually adds another album. Got a threefer today:
Alkaline Trio - Crimson
Alkaline Trio - Good Mourning
Darkest Hour - Godless Prophets & The Migrant Flora
75 min run + ~30 min strength session
Snappy sunrise today. Slightly late start, but much warmer today than normal (not quite shorts weather, but close). Making up for missing yesterday’s run due to the sleet/freezing rain.
Unearth - The Oncoming Storm
Oh, it’s a nice day today. Warm air, enough sun to feel nice. The snow is all but melted, though we’re due for more this week. One can see spring over the horizon.
All - Mass Nerder
Happy bus run this morning
Windy, windy and some flurries. Slightly faster effort than usual. Taking a more pace-oriented approach to running has been an adjustment but I’ve been enjoying it so far.
Bad Religion - The Gray Race
A nice, quiet hour as the sun rose. Stopped a bit to watch a Coast Guard clipper cutting a route in the ice along the river to allow a barge to pass.
Modern Color - From the Leaves of Your Garden
Nice little 5K tempo run to start the day. Arctic front moving in later, glad to get the run in while it’s relatively warm.
Windy morning, but the weather has been much more comfortable so far these past few days. Easy 30 minute run followed by some strength training. Also back on the habit of making my morning coffee in my moka pot-feels like a nice little ritual to start the day.
Drug Church - Cheer
Out with the happy bus this morning
Long one for the middle of the week, but it was a beautiful sunrise. Enough time to play through two albums. Went a little harder than I needed to at times, but I was going with the flow of how I felt.
Harms Way - Posthuman/Rust
The winds are coming back. There are few things I dislike more than cold wind, but it looks to be sticking around a while. Easy 5K today, but I’ll need to rethink my wardrobe for the next two weeks.
R.E.M. - Out of Time
Rounding out the week. Nice and sunny today, about 22F. Saw some bluebirds, and thoroughly enjoyed just being in the sun. Weekly mileage
Bad Religion - The Gray Race
A bit of early morning snow made for a pretty landscape. Easy hour out to the river and back. Perfect day for testing out my new Brooks Canopy jacket - it passed with flying colors. Now the fun is over and it’s time to do adult things.
Between the Buried and Me - The Silent Circus
I think the 20-25F temperature range is my winter sweet spot. Nice, easy pace down to the river and back up this morning. Mustache got a bit frosty, but felt good to be out this morning as the sun was rising.
Iron Chic - The Constant One
I’m beginning to remember how to dress for winter. A bit breezier and cooler this morning, but was well prepared. Focusing more on pace/effort than HR these days, using Hal Higdon method for off season training. Easy little progression run to start the day.
Run The Jewels - RTJ3
Going to be quite windy today, and this morning was only a preview of what’s in store for the afternoon. Glad I remembered my Buff. Nothing special, just another Tuesday in the books.
Snapcase - Progression Through Unlearning
