When I was a youngin', my dad would take me on the most random adventures. One day he drove me out to Victorville, CA to the Roy Rogers-Dale Evans museum.

While we were there, #RoyRogers himself stopped in to grab his his family bible. I don't remember much, but he was very kind & walked with us to go see his beloved horse Trigger.

As a child, the Roy Rogers Show was one of my favorites. I still take a peek now and again when I see that it is on, out of nostalgia. It is hard to believe that I watched many of the shows before they were reruns, over 60 years ago. I didn't know until this morning, that their signature song was written by Dale Evans, both Roy and Dale sang the song. There was his horse, Trigger, and Dog, Bullet. He also had a side kick played by Pat Brady, Sparrow Biffle and his jeep, Nellybelle.

I was talking to my boss about the #restaurants we each grew up with, and therefore love unconditionally. For me, the two are #RoyRogers and Jerry's Subs and #Pizza. Roy's is something I can rarely visit, but technically I can say there are some in my region, and I was able to stop by one on my way home from a recent high school football game. Jerry's is almost extinct, with the nearest of three being over an hour away with no traffic on a route where there is almost always heavy traffic. Sucks.
