Final product. #rocktumbling some just didn’t want to shine up.

After 10 days of step 2 of #rocktumbling. They are some of the better pieces in the batch. I’m a little concerned about the white edges. Some of the other #rocks were still pretty pitty so I’m going to run step 1 again. We’ll see what happens. I’ll probably pass on to step 3, rather than run another step 2.

And so, my first excursion into the world of rock tumbling has come to an end. Some rocks I sprayed with a glossy finish, some I left matte— I think both have their own unique beauty to them. It’s been quite the journey! #rockhound #rockhouding #rocktumbling

So I have this OLD (new to me) rock tumbler (Lortone 3A) and I cannot get the lid to seal.

Can't tell if the canister is old n jenky or maybe it's the lid...anyone have experience with this? Know how to fix?

"Don't buy a Chicago Electric rock tumbler, they're nothing but trouble and break down a lot. Buy a Lortone." Meanwhile a year later my CE has been running fine, just had to replace the barrels due to friction wearing holes in them. Meanwhile the Lortone despite everything looking normal, belt good and tight, keeps stopping every couple of hours and needs to be restarted by hand.
