It doesn't really matter if your library has a book handy: it has inter-library loans! You can get a book from anywhere the library is networked! Just ask! (That bestseller, too.)

What are you studying for? Need some practice tests and guides? Most libraries have databases and networks for GMAT, AP, IB, SAT, and dozens of others! (and still free!)
I went to two public libraries last weekend and enjoyed some really amazing public programs: Night of Ideas at the SF Public Library and the Foster Youth Museum - Lost Childhoods Exhibit at the Redwood City Library. Then I sat down and wrote a piece about the right to read, because I wanted to talk about that today, Right To Read day. I put the piece up on Medium--I'm not a part of the partnership program, so it should be accessible to both members and nonmembers. Please take a look, and happy National Library Week!

Many libraries have eBooks and audiobooks for loan to your favorite reading device! Why are you paying money to Audible or Kindle or Nook when you can borrow and read or listen for free? Save some money and read and listen more! Talk to your librarian about their approach!

North Dakotans are invited to bring a book and read silently on the public sidewalk outside their local library to show their opposition to Senate Bill 2307, a bill that targets library content. The North Dakota Senate passed the bill in a narrow vote last week, and it now heads to the North Dakota House for a hearing and a floor vote. #RightToReadND
