Put a widget on your website to track the higher cost of living for ordinary Americans, tie up the floor of Congress and tie up your Committee work talking about it, and regularly post on social media about it. Show the American people that you are tracking the costs and that you care.

Every time you are in front of the news media and every time you post on social media, please give specific numbers demonstrating how the tariffs of this Republican Administration are hurting your constituents.

Please highlight the unserious manner with which the tariffs were enacted, and be sure to refer to them as the "tariffs of this Republican Administration," as the Republican Party could put a stop to all of this if they chose to do so.

And regarding all the social media memes on the tariffs, putting tariffs on uninhabited islands and on Diego Garcia might seem like a reasonable subject to joke about, but in truth, they demonstrate the high level of disregard this Republican Administration shows for the American people.

At the same time, Senator Adam Schiff used his power to place a hold on Ed Martin's nomination to be the U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia.

On behalf of everyone who depends on government services -- veterans, the elderly, new parents, farmers, truckers, medical workers, factory workers, teachers, children -- I am asking you to find your moment, plant your feet on the floor of Congress, and make your stand.

This Republican Administration is cutting programs every American depends on to pay for tax breaks for the wealthy. Find your Booker moment, your Schiff policy and hold the line.

The acting commissioner who left in November raised alarms about a potential system collapse, and the acting commission who left in February refused to allow Musk to access the databases containing the personal data of nearly every American.

And now Musk is claiming to rewrite the code underlying Social Security in just a few months?

By all accounts, the Social Security Administration is about to collapse, and this Republican Administration is allowing an unserious, unskilled person to meddle with the systems on which our nation's elderly, disabled, and orphans rely to keep roofs over their heads.

I worry this is their plan-to gut Social Security to collapse, then claim that the only way to fix it is to privatize it. Republicans have talked about this idea for years.

You must fight this. Call for hearings and investigations. Stall the work of Congress until you get full transparency.

We cannot let this Republican Administration undermine Social Security. Remind every one of your colleagues that while these rich Republicans in Congress don't worry about their next Social Security check, millions of ordinary Americans do. Be very vocal about what you know of their plans and how much your constituents object to their plans.

No badges, no warrants, no official jackets with logos. To her, they were large, faceless people kidnapping her and I can't stop thinking about that moment of abject fear. Can you imagine yourself in her shoes?

I saw the photographs the Homeland Security Secretary took in the prison in El Salvador and I was sickened. A member of this Republican Administration thinks a prison known for harsh treatment of inmates, a place that resembles a concentration camp is a place to take a photo.

I've read too many stories about the conditions in the privately run ICE prisons here in the US. The temperatures are too cold. The lights never go off. Begging officers for help and getting no response.

How do we fix this? How do we restore due process and the rule of law when this #Republican Administration has been given immunity by the #SupremeCourt How do we bring back decency to the American people?

I have no answers, so I can only ask the questions.

I am truly horrified.

Angela G
Today's email is on cuts to school lunch programs and food banks. Please copy and paste the below message into the forms on the websites of your members of Congress. #Resist #ResistOfTheDay

Dear Senator / Representative --

In every social media post, in every news appearance, and in every town hall, please make it absolutely clear that this Republican Administration is trying to balance the budget on the backs of the poor while asking for no similar sacrifices from the richest Americans. Please make it clear that you will not stand for this and please work tirelessly to restore funding that helped food banks and school meal programs buy food from local farmers in the community.

The Local Food Purchase Assistance and the Local Food for Schools programs supported both schools and farmers, creating new markets, and giving kids and those who depend on food banks access to healthier food. U.S. Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins described these programs as "nonessential," showing just how out-of-touch this Republican Administration is with ordinary people. The Association of State Departments of Agriculture noted that the Ag Secretaries of every state in this nation lobbied in support of these two programs. These were nonpartisan programs that helped people in every state.

Please make sure everyone knows that this Republican Administration is taking healthy food away from children and the poor to fund tax cuts for the rich.

Do it jointly with the local Representative. If they don't show up, hold it without them.

Your messages must be clear -- This Republican Administration is not working for the people, they are working for the billionaires. Talk about their specific policies that are hurting ordinary Americans, without asking for any comparable "belt-tightening" from millionaires and billionaires. Talk one-on-one with the farmers who depend on undocumented workers to do the jobs that American citizens don't want to take. Learn from them what they want to see in a guest worker program so that they have the hard workers they need to stay in business and keep us fed.

Talk about specific policies you want to implement that would help Republican-leaning voters. Make it personal and make it specific.

Make this a regular part of your schedule. Call into local radio stations in Republican parts of the state to share your views. Show up at the local VFW, the Kiwanis, the Rotaries. When you can't be there in person, send your staffers so that the local Republican-leaning parts of the state know that you are listening to their views.

I want you to sign onto the Protect Veteran Jobs Act (Senators Tammy Duckworth and Andy Kim and Rep Derek Tran) and work to move it to a floor vote so recently fired Veterans can get their federal jobs back. Be loud about this bill. Make sure Republicans have to vote on it, showing who they support: Veterans or DOGE.

Also please support the Senate VA Committee push-back on the arbitrary number of 80,000 jobs to cut at the VA. Committee Chair Jerry Moran recently noted, "The goal ought not be a number. The goal ought to be, determine what the mission of the Department of Veterans Affairs is, and how many people in the workforce it takes to accomplish that mission in an effective and efficient way.”

The VA is experiencing its highest-ever service levels, delivering more than 127 million health care appointments for more than 9 million enrollees. Give Veterans and VA experts full say in how the transformation of that department takes place.

When you are holding town halls in the Republican areas of the state, please make make clear the specific actions you are taking to support Veterans.

The House has gone into recess to force the Senate to accept the bill with no changes. )

Dear Senator --

For months Republicans have talked about how they were going to fund their legislative priorities, but here we are again, facing another Continuing Resolution.

In your negotiations in the Senate, constantly remind everyone that the Constitution Article 1, Section 9, Clause 7 gives the power of the purse to Congress, not the President. The President has no legitimate authority under the Constitution for meddling in the appropriations process.

The Continuing Resolution must include language reminding the Executive Branch that it has no budgetary power over Congress. Please paste into the forms of all your elected officials and share with friends.

Dear Senator / Representative --

The Republican Administration correctly claims that their budget resolution does not specifically mention cuts to Medicaid, but every economic analysis of the Republican Budget Resolution notes that to cut $880 billion in spending to finance the wealth tax cut would require cuts to Medicare or Medicaid. Even the nonpartisan Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget makes this point in their detailed analysis of the federal budget.

We are asking you to be firm in your opposition. Medicaid supports the poorest of our elders in nursing homes. Medicaid supports those with disabilities.

The wealthy have enough money. Make Medicaid cuts your constant message in every media appearance. Make the Republican Administration provide details of their plans and then call them out when they fail to get into specifics.

It is our duty to support the elderly, the disabled, and the poorest families.

Angela G
#ResistOfTheDay
Take the below text. Customize it for your state, then go to the website of your members of Congress and paste it in their form.

We are once again focusing on the budget, as the current budget expires on March 14. Also please share with other resisters.

Dear { } --

Please remind your Republican counterparts that as the majority party, their job is to put forth a budget. To pass, the budget must reflect the priorities of the American people, the 99%, not the richest 1%.

The American people have made it clear at recent town halls that they want certain programs protected. Americans want Social Security but the Republican budget calls for cutting 7,000 jobs at Social Security. Americans want Medicaid protected, but Republicans want massive cuts to this program to pay for tax cuts for the wealthy. Republicans want to cut the IRS, but every American knows that it is the rich who cheat on their taxes, not the poor.

Please make it clear to every news and social media outlet that Republicans have had since November to create a budget.

And every time a Republican mentions DOGE, please remind them that a Continuing Resolution funds government at existing levels, so any Republican supporting DOGE has no business voting for a CR. Make it clear that Republicans don't get both -- they must vote to make DOGE legally responsive to Congress and only then will they get support for a CR.

We support your efforts to pass a budget that reflects America's priorities.
