The site designated for the Fens #Reservoir sit at less than 1 m above mean sea level and tidal rivers extend to within a few kilometres of it. Pertinent questions are what assumptions have been made about future sea-level rise and what testing has been done to provide confidence that there will be no saline groundwater ingress?
