Happy Easter
This Easter, I invite you to reflect on resurrection not just as a moment in history, but as a living invitation. What if this Holy Day isn’t just about what happened then, but what we are called to do now—to regenerate?
“Growing academic research shows that our spiritual connection with the natural world is essential… If you’ve felt overwhelmed by climate change or grief for the world we’re losing, that sorrow comes from your connection.”
You are not alone in that sorrow. You are awakening.
"'We become immense,' writes Francis Weller. And from that immensity, we can build something new."
This is Easton’s moment. And maybe yours too.
I wrote this reflection for The Cultural Easton: “Easton’s Regenerative Awakening”
If this resonates, I’d be honored if you shared it.

So much we don’t know
Having done a satisfactory amount of digital activism, I went to go to bed. The kitchen remains a mess from dinner. Whoops.
I will enjoy an audiobook while I clean after midnight.
And, much to the chagrin of those who I oppose, I’ll enjoy every minute of it.

To live, we all must compete
Against others we cannot not defeat;
As resources deplete,
Some will cheat with deceit
To have enough people to eat.

"When we feel small in the face of a problem, small in front of a cross, an illness, when we experience fatigue and loneliness, let us not be discouraged. The mask of superficiality and our radical fragility is falling away. (…) Indeed, it is precisely in our frailty that we discover how much God takes care of us. Facing squamous cell carcinoma in 2023 profoundly reshaped my understanding of ‘quality.’
This journey led me to Robert Pirsig’s Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, which resonated deeply. In my latest reflection, I explore how confronting mortality redefined my perception of quality and how Pirsig’s insights affirmed this new perspective.
I invite you to read my thoughts and share your own experiences!
Sharing this soothing weekend read from Ken Coulson, the author of “The Arsonist.”
The Arsonist is a corporate thriller and modern day David and Goliath Story about the collision of Wall Street and the Climate Crisis.
Now is a time to think about cultivation, what will we plant in our gardens this year? How will we prepare? When do we start?
A garden is a commitment, just as a seed is hope. It requires fortitude, persistence, adaptation, resilience, and, of course, patience. Some would say luck, too, is a key ingredient. Maybe most of all, our gardens require love.

If you’re passionate about local conservation efforts or simply looking for a moment of quiet reflection, this piece is for you.
An end to a day filled with service and hope.
Oh God, Our Father,
thank you for giving us Carlo,
a life example for the young
and a message of love for everyone.
You made him become enamored with
Your Son Jesus, Making of the Eucharist
his “Highway to Heaven”.
You gave him Mary, as a most loving Mother,
and, with the Rosary, you made him
a poet of her tenderness. Receive his prayer for us.
Above all, gaze upon the poor,
whom he loved and helped.
Grant for me too, by his intercession,
the grace that I need to lead with love
And make our joy fulfilled,
placing Carlo among the Saints
of your Church, so that his smile
may shine again for us in the glory of your name.
Amen

That said, I'm already vegan and I walk or bicycle everywhere. So, how can I contribute significantly to a regenerative future?

Hello Mastodon!
We are a small group of committed people creating a regenerative culture community on the Isle of Skye, Scorland.
We are determined to decolonise our community culture. Healing our own and our collective trauma are an important part of that.
We use #natureconnection as our main pathway to healing our connection to ourselves, each other and our ecosystem.
We're moving from a small instance to this one.

"For all of us, becoming indigenous to a place means living as if your children's future mattered, to take care of the land as if our lives, both material and spiritual, depended on it."
Robin Wall Kimmerer
Our sea has such a profound influence on our connection to our Island of Rubha Phoil on Skye.
.
• We share our sea with whales, dolphins, seals, otters and dozens and dozens of beautiful species of birds
• The wildlife under the surface of the sea too is super rich.
Our sea is among some of the main things we love and depend on as an Island culture.
Now imagine there was huge volumes of traffic being shipped in and out through these waters.
• Ecosystems will be disrupted
• Wildlife would decrease
• Pollution would increase
The things that make our Island such an attractive location are the very things that will be destroyed as a result.
We need to come together and create a network.
A network that can create a more sustainable model where…
• Culture
• Heritage
• Community
• Wildlife
are all at the forefront of our tourism industry
Join our the network. Connect with us.
